Licence: bring your own
The server comes with the Windows Server Evaluation edition installed, and you activate it with your own Windows Server product key. Without a key, the evaluation expires after 180 days. No plan price includes a Windows licence.
Prices exclude VAT. Windows plans have no hourly billing. At checkout you can add more IPv4 addresses or extra storage in 50 GB blocks.

Why Ashburn for a Windows Server in the US
Northern Virginia is where much of the US East internet interconnects, which is why our only US VPS node, and every Windows VPS with it, is there.
The US East interconnection hub
Ashburn is the largest datacenter market in the world, and Equinix runs one of its densest interconnection campuses there. Our node is in Equinix DC6 on that campus.
The server and its data stay in the US
The virtual machine and its disk live in Virginia, and its IPv4 address is routed to the Ashburn node. That suits US-facing services and remote desktops that should run from a US datacenter.

Choose the Windows Server version on the order form. The server is built on the Ashburn node, and its IPv4 address appears in the client panel.Connect over Remote Desktop
On Windows, open Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc); on macOS, iOS or Android, use Microsoft's Remote Desktop app. Enter the IPv4 address and sign in as Administrator. A password reset is in the client panel.Activate your own licence
Enter your Windows Server product key in the Windows activation settings before the 180-day evaluation ends. If you ever lock yourself out, the web console and a reinstall are in the client panel.

Is this Windows VPS hosted in the United States?
Yes. Every Windows VPS runs on one KVM host in Equinix DC6 in Ashburn, Northern Virginia (US East). Ashburn is the only location where Windows is sold, so the order form offers no other location for these plans.
Can I get a Windows VPS in Europe?
Not at the moment: Windows Server on a VPS is sold only in Ashburn. In Europe you can order a Linux KVM VPS in Bucharest, Sofia, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Vienna, or a dedicated server, which can run Windows Server.
Is a Windows licence included in the price?
No. These plans are bring your own licence. The installed image is the Windows Server Evaluation edition, which you activate with your own Windows Server product key. If no key is applied, the evaluation expires after 180 days. The plan price covers the server only.
Which billing cycles and currencies can I pay in?
Monthly, quarterly (three months at the monthly rate) or annually (twelve months with 10% off). There is no hourly billing and no setup fee. Checkout bills in US dollars, euro or Romanian lei, and US customers are quoted in US dollars by default. The currency switcher in the header shows these prices in USD, EUR or RON.
Can I install Linux on a Windows VPS plan?
No. These plans are Windows-only, and the reinstall menu offers Windows Server 2022 and 2025. For Linux in Ashburn, order a KVM VPS instead: Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and other distributions, billed hourly or monthly.
