KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a Linux kernel virtualization technology providing full hardware isolation between virtual machines. Each X-ZoneServers VPS runs its own kernel, so other customers' virtual machines cannot read its memory or touch its disk.

KVM VPS run in seven locations: Bucharest, Sofia, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna and Ashburn (US East). Dedicated servers are available in 11 countries: Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and the United States.

VPS instances are built automatically after payment confirmation, typically in about a minute. Dedicated servers are delivered by hand: Xeon servers typically within an hour, EPYC builds in up to 14 days (the estimate is shown at checkout).

X-ZoneServers accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major coins), and bank transfers. All payments are processed securely, and a VPS is built as soon as its payment is confirmed.

Every plan includes vCPU cores and RAM under full KVM virtualization, SSD storage, unmetered traffic on a 100–300 Mbps port (depending on the plan), one free IPv4 address and free IPv6 where the location supports it, DDoS protection and full root access. Servers are built automatically in about a minute in any of our seven locations across the EU and US East.

Plans start at €4 per month for the Nano tier (2 GB RAM, 1 vCPU) and scale up to 32 GB RAM. The same plans can be billed hourly from €0.0056/hr, with hourly charges automatically capped at the plan's monthly price.

You can move a VPS to a bigger plan at any time from the client panel or the API, and billing moves to the new plan's rate, without contract lock-in. Disks only grow: a smaller plan never shrinks an existing disk.

X-ZoneServers VPS run Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, Fedora, openSUSE, Oracle Linux and Arch Linux, plus FreeBSD, with full root access on every instance. You can also capture a server as an image or register your own qcow2 or raw image and deploy from it. Windows is not offered on VPS; it is available on dedicated servers.

Yes. Every VPS plan can be billed per hour from €0.0056/hr with no minimum commitment, and a server running 24/7 is automatically capped at the plan's monthly price. The hourly VPS page explains how metering, stopping and destroying a server affect the bill.

Support is operator-led: live chat, tickets and email are answered by the people who run the platform. Platform, network and billing questions are covered; X-ZoneServers does not sell managed services, so the software inside your VPS is yours to run.

Yes. Every KVM VPS comes with one dedicated IPv4 address at no extra cost, on all plans and in the monthly and hourly price. In locations that have IPv6, up to five IPv6 addresses are free as well; Warsaw, Vienna, Sofia and Ashburn do not offer IPv6 yet. Additional IPv4 addresses can be added at checkout.

You pay a fixed rate for every hour your server exists — from €0.0056/hr on the Nano plan. Charges are metered continuously against your account balance, and there is no minimum commitment: keep a server for two hours, pay for two hours.

Hourly charges are automatically capped at the plan's monthly price. Once the cap is reached, the rest of the month is free — running an hourly server 24/7 never costs more than the flat monthly rate.

Yes. A stopped server still reserves its RAM, CPU, storage, and IP address, so it continues to bill hourly. To stop billing completely, destroy the server — you can always deploy a fresh one in about 60 seconds.

Deployment takes about 60 seconds; destruction is immediate. You can automate both from the client panel or the REST API, which makes hourly VPS practical for CI pipelines and scheduled batch workloads.

All six KVM VPS plans — from 2 GB Nano to 32 GB Business — support hourly billing in every one of our seven VPS locations: Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, Warsaw, Bucharest and Sofia in the EU, plus Ashburn (US East). The hardware is identical to monthly plans: SSD storage and unmetered traffic on the same 100–300 Mbps port caps. Prices shown are the Bucharest rates; the other six locations carry a location premium that checkout shows before you order.

Dedicated servers are billed monthly because each one is provisioned bare-metal for a single customer. If you need short-lived capacity, the 32 GB Business VPS on hourly billing is the closest equivalent — pay-as-you-go, destroy it when you are done.

Yes. The Customer REST API (v1, public beta) lists the plans with their hourly prices, orders a VPS on hourly billing with cloud-init user-data and SSH keys, runs power actions and reinstalls, and deletes the server when the job is finished. API access is included with every account at no extra cost.

Yes. Hourly servers run on the same hardware and network as monthly plans and get the same operator-led support by ticket, email and live chat. There is no separate, reduced support tier for pay-as-you-go customers.

Hourly servers are prepaid: the hourly charge is deducted from your account credit once per hour, and a minimum credit balance is required before an hourly server is created. Top up by card, PayPal, cryptocurrency or bank transfer, the same payment methods as monthly plans; a deleted server stops drawing from the balance immediately.

No. Hourly servers have the same unmetered traffic as monthly plans: no transfer allowance and no per-GB charge, so a Nano that moves 20 TB in a month still costs at most its €4 cap. Hourly clouds that include 1–2 TB and then bill egress typically charge $0.005–0.01 per GB beyond it.

Yes — there is no monthly traffic counter and no overage billing on any 10Gbps VPS plan. You pay the flat monthly price regardless of how many terabytes you transfer.

The port is 10 Gbps and bursts use it fully. Sustained throughput is shared fairly per plan tier — realistic estimates (from ~1-2 Gbps to ~5-6 Gbps) are printed on every plan so you can size honestly. For a guaranteed dedicated 10 Gbps line, choose a dedicated server.

Same 10 Gbps unmetered network, same hardware. The Streaming VPS page focuses on live-video workflows — RTMP ingest, HLS delivery, 24/7 restreaming with tools like Nginx-RTMP and SRS. If that's your workload, start there; for general high-bandwidth use, you're in the right place.

Yes, every plan includes 1 Tbps always-on DDoS protection (L3/L4) at no extra cost. High-bandwidth servers attract attacks, so filtering is part of the platform rather than an upsell.

You can upgrade to a larger VPS plan at any time with a short resize reboot. If you outgrow shared 10 Gbps entirely, we'll help you migrate to a dedicated server with a guaranteed port.

OBS is a desktop application, so the usual pattern is to run OBS on your local machine and push its RTMP output to the VPS, which relays or repackages it. For fully headless setups, FFmpeg or Nginx-RTMP replaces OBS on the server. You can also install a Linux desktop environment and run OBS over VNC, but headless FFmpeg is far more efficient.

Capacity equals throughput divided by stream bitrate. Each plan lists a minimum sustained throughput on its 10 Gbps port: the Starter plan's 1 Gbps sustains roughly 165 concurrent viewers of a 6 Mbps 1080p stream served directly, while the Business plan's 5 Gbps sustains around 830. Restreaming through YouTube or Twitch offloads delivery entirely, so viewer count becomes effectively unlimited.

Yes. Round-the-clock streams, restream relays, and looped broadcasts are expected use on these plans. Traffic is unmetered and there is no overage billing. The only requirement is that you hold the rights to the content you broadcast.

Yes. Push your encoder's single output to the VPS and fan it out with Nginx-RTMP push directives or FFmpeg. Each destination consumes one upstream copy — three 6 Mbps pushes total roughly 18 Mbps, far below even the smallest plan's sustained throughput.

Not for relaying, restreaming, or serving HLS — those workloads are network-bound and run on any plan. For live transcoding, CPU x264 covers it: about 4–6 vCPU cores per 1080p30 rung at the veryfast preset. X-ZoneServers streaming plans are CPU-only; if you need many simultaneous transcode ladders, choose a dedicated server.

Anything that runs on Linux: Nginx-RTMP, MediaMTX, SRS, Owncast, datarhei Restreamer, Icecast, FFmpeg, and SRT tooling all work with full root access on Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, or Rocky Linux.

Yes. Dedicated servers come with a guaranteed, unmetered port of 10, 20, 25, 50, 100 or 200 Gbps (1 to 5 Gbps tiers exist too), from €659 a month at 10 Gbps. A guaranteed 10 Gbps port carries about 1,650 concurrent 1080p viewers at 6 Mbps served directly, and unlike the Streaming VPS the port is not shared with other customers.

Yes. The X-ZoneServers REST API (v1, public beta) covers power actions, reinstalls, usage statistics and billing for Streaming VPS, so relays can be restarted or rebuilt from your own tooling; for dedicated servers it covers ordering and billing. API access is included with every account at no extra cost.

Put your video or playlist on the server and loop it with FFmpeg under systemd so it restarts automatically, or relay a live OBS feed through Nginx-RTMP to YouTube's ingest. The stream keeps running while your own PC is off. At 6 Mbps a 1080p stream moves about 2 TB a month, which is included because traffic on every plan is unmetered.

Yes. Nginx-RTMP push directives or datarhei Restreamer send one encoder feed to YouTube, Twitch, Kick and any other RTMP destination at the same time, with no per-channel subscription. You run and update the software yourself with full root access.

X-ZoneServers dedicated servers offer dual Xeon and AMD EPYC configurations with up to 200Gbps guaranteed bandwidth and NVMe storage on the EPYC builds. Direct operator-led support and 1 Tbps always-on DDoS protection (L3/L4) are included on every server.

Xeon E5 and Gold 6148 servers are typically delivered within an hour of order confirmation; EPYC builds can take up to 14 days, and the estimate is shown at checkout. Delivery is handled manually rather than by automated provisioning: the OS is installed and the network configured before the login details are handed over.

Dedicated server configurations cover CPU model, RAM (up to 1TB DDR5), storage type and capacity, bandwidth tier, and operating system. Custom hardware requests can be quoted on demand for specialized workloads.

No. Dedicated servers are self-managed: you get full root access and run the operating system, security updates, backups and tuning yourself. Operator-led support by live chat, ticket and email is there for hardware, network and billing questions.
