A dedicated server costs from €219 a month with us: a dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 with 16 cores, 128 GB of RAM and an unmetered 1 Gbps port, excluding VAT. Our largest server and port, 256 EPYC cores on 200 Gbps, costs €13,509. The dedicated server cost moves mostly with port speed, then processor, then drives.
How much does a dedicated server cost per month?
For most projects the realistic range is €219 to €1,189 a month. That covers everything from a 16 core Xeon on a 1 Gbps port to a 24 core EPYC 9254 on 10 Gbps. Above that you are paying for very large ports or for hundreds of cores, and the bill climbs into the thousands.
Every figure in this post comes from our live catalogue on 2 November 2026. Prices are monthly, in euros, and exclude VAT. The price you see at checkout is two lines added together: the chassis (processor, memory and the included drive) and the port. Here is the cheapest way to reach each port speed we sell.
| Port speed | Cheapest server at that speed | Per month | Ceiling at full speed, 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Gbps | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | €219 | 324 TB |
| 2 Gbps | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | €269 | 648 TB |
| 5 Gbps | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | €529 | 1,620 TB |
| 10 Gbps | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | €669 | 3,240 TB |
| 20 Gbps | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | €1,169 | 6,480 TB |
| 25 Gbps | Dual Xeon Gold 6148 | €1,889 | 8,100 TB |
| 50 Gbps | Dual Xeon Gold 6148 | €2,889 | 16,200 TB |
| 100 Gbps | Dual Xeon Gold 6148 | €4,589 | 32,400 TB |
| 200 Gbps | Dual AMD EPYC 9754 | €13,509 | 64,800 TB |
The last column is what the port could move if it ran flat out for a 30 day month, in decimal units: 1 Gbps is 125 MB per second, or 324 TB a month. Nobody runs a port at 100 % all month, but it shows what the price buys. Every port in the table is unmetered and guaranteed, so none of that traffic is billed per terabyte.
Why does port speed move dedicated server pricing the most?
On our dedicated servers the port speed is guaranteed and unmetered: the port is not shared with other customers and there is no 95th percentile bill at the end of the month, so the speed you pay for is the same at 3 a.m. and at peak hour. Reserved capacity costs money, which is why the port option is priced separately from the hardware.
The port options also differ by chassis family. The Xeon E5 servers have the cheapest small ports, the EPYC servers go further up the ladder, and the Xeon Gold 6148 ships with 25 Gbps already included.
| Port | Xeon E5 servers | EPYC servers | Xeon Gold 6148 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Gbps | €50 | €80 | Not offered |
| 2 Gbps | €100 | €160 | Not offered |
| 5 Gbps | €360 | €400 | Not offered |
| 10 Gbps | €500 | €800 | Not offered |
| 20 Gbps | €1,000 | Not offered | Not offered |
| 25 Gbps | Not offered | €1,875 | Included |
| 50 Gbps | Not offered | €3,500 | €1,000 |
| 100 Gbps | Not offered | €6,500 (EPYC 9754 only) | €2,700 |
| 200 Gbps | Not offered | €12,000 (EPYC 9754 only) | Not offered |
The steps are not even. On the cheapest Xeon, going from 1 to 2 Gbps adds €50, from 2 to 5 Gbps adds €260, from 5 to 10 Gbps adds only €140, and from 10 to 20 Gbps adds €500. Per Gbps, the 1 Gbps server costs €219 and the 10 Gbps server €66.90. A server that needs more than 5 Gbps is usually better off on 10 Gbps, since the bigger port costs only €140 more. Our post on which port upgrade pays off works through the break even points, and the 10 Gbps price per TB post does the maths for that tier.
What does the processor add to the price?
The chassis line covers the processor, the memory and the drive that ships with the server. It is the same in every country we sell in. This is the full range, with the chassis price on its own and with the cheapest port it can take.
| Server | Cores / threads | RAM | Included storage | Chassis | With its smallest port |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 | 16 / 32 | 128 GB DDR4 | 240 GB SSD | €169 | €219 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual Xeon E5 2690 v4 | 28 / 56 | 128 GB DDR4 | 240 GB SSD | €189 | €239 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual Xeon E5 2699 v4 | 44 / 88 | 256 GB DDR4 | 240 GB SSD | €259 | €309 (1 Gbps) |
| Single AMD EPYC 9254 | 24 / 48 | 128 GB DDR5 | 2 × 1 TB NVMe | €389 | €469 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual AMD EPYC 9254 | 48 / 96 | 256 GB DDR5 | 2 × 1 TB NVMe | €629 | €709 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual AMD EPYC 9554 | 128 / 256 | 512 GB DDR5 | 2 × 1 TB NVMe | €919 | €999 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual AMD EPYC 9754 | 256 / 512 | 1 TB DDR5 | 2 × 1 TB NVMe | €1,509 | €1,589 (1 Gbps) |
| Dual Xeon Gold 6148 | 40 / 80 | 256 GB DDR4 | 240 GB SSD | €1,889 | €1,889 (25 Gbps included) |
The Xeon E5 servers are an older generation, and that is exactly why they are cheap. For bandwidth heavy work such as video delivery, downloads, proxies and game servers, the processor is rarely the bottleneck, so paying for a newer one buys little. The EPYC servers bring DDR5 memory and NVMe drives, which matter for databases, build farms and anything that keeps every core busy.
The Gold 6148 looks like the most expensive Xeon until you notice the included 25 Gbps port. It is the cheapest way to 25, 50 and 100 Gbps in our range, as the 25 Gbps servers page shows. Delivery time also differs: Xeon servers in stock are typically online within about an hour, while EPYC builds can take up to 14 days, and the estimate is shown at checkout.
How much do drives, IPv4 addresses and DDoS protection add?
After the chassis and the port, three options can change the bill: extra drives, extra IPv4 addresses and a bigger DDoS tier. Each is a fixed monthly line.
| Option | Available on | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 2 × 500 GB SSD | Xeon servers | €5 |
| 6 × 1 TB SSD | Xeon servers | €69 |
| 6 × 2 TB SSD | Xeon servers | €139 |
| 6 × 4 TB SSD | Xeon servers | €279 |
| 6 × 8 TB SSD | Xeon servers | €559 |
| 24 × 1 TB NVMe | EPYC servers | €520 |
| 24 × 1.98 TB NVMe | EPYC servers | €820 |
| /29 subnet, 5 usable IPv4 | Every server | €8 |
| /28 subnet, 13 usable IPv4 | Every server | €26 |
| /27 subnet, 29 usable IPv4 | Every server | €58 |
| DDoS protection, 500 Gbps | Every server | €156.45 |
| DDoS protection, 1 Tbps | Every server | €523.95 |
| DDoS protection, 2 Tbps | Every server | €1,048.95 |
| DDoS protection, 5 Tbps | Every server | €2,623.95 |
| DDoS protection, 10 Tbps and Layer 7 | Every server | €4,723.95 |
Drives
Xeon servers ship with one 240 GB SSD and the EPYC servers with two 1 TB NVMe drives. A web or game server rarely needs more. Storage only becomes the biggest line on the bill when the server holds a video library, backups or a large database.
IPv4 addresses
Every server includes a /31, which gives you one usable IPv4 address. A /29 adds five usable addresses for €8 a month, enough for a few sites or services with their own address. If you already hold your own /24, the order form lists it as a one time €25 option, or €50 together with your own ASN. Our guide to extra IPv4 subnets explains which size fits which job.
DDoS protection
Every server sits behind 100 Gbps of always on DDoS mitigation at layers 3 and 4 at no extra cost, and up to five attacks a month above 100 Gbps are still mitigated. From the sixth in the same month, the targeted address is null routed until the attack stops or the server moves up a tier. Most servers never need a paid tier. The DDoS protection page explains who does.
Do location, setup fees or the billing period change the cost?
No. A server costs the same in all 11 countries we offer: Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and the United States. There is no setup fee on any server or option. The servers are listed for quarterly and annual billing at exactly three and twelve times the monthly price, so paying ahead does not change what you pay per month.
One cost that is not on the invoice: management. Our dedicated servers are self managed. You get full root access and you run the operating system, security updates and backups yourself, while we handle hardware, network and billing questions. If nobody on your team wants that job, price in the hours or a managed provider.
What does a typical dedicated server cost? Four example builds
These are examples priced from the catalogue, not fixed packages. Each total is the chassis plus the options listed.
| Project | Example build | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Agency hosting | Dual Xeon E5 2699 v4, 1 Gbps, 6 × 1 TB SSD | €378 |
| Game servers | Dual Xeon E5 2690 v4, 2 Gbps, /28 subnet, 500 Gbps DDoS tier | €471.45 |
| Video and downloads | Dual Xeon E5 2630 v3, 10 Gbps, 6 × 4 TB SSD | €948 |
| Database or compute | Dual AMD EPYC 9554, 1 Gbps, 24 × 1 TB NVMe | €1,519 |
The agency server spends on cores and memory, with six SSDs for client sites and room to grow. The game server takes a /28 so each game instance can have its own address, and the 500 Gbps tier is there for the repeated attacks that popular game servers attract.
The video server is the clearest case of port speed driving the price: €500 of its €948 is the 10 Gbps port. The database server is the opposite, with a 1 Gbps port and nearly all of the money in cores, DDR5 and NVMe.
Questions people ask about dedicated server pricing
What is the cheapest dedicated server you sell?
The dual Xeon E5 2630 v3 on a 1 Gbps port, at €219 a month excluding VAT. It has 16 cores, 32 threads, 128 GB of DDR4 and a 240 GB SSD, and the port is unmetered and guaranteed.
Are dedicated server hosting prices monthly or hourly?
Our dedicated servers are billed monthly, with quarterly and annual billing at the same monthly rate. We do not bill dedicated servers by the hour. For short jobs, an hourly KVM VPS is the closer fit.
Is a dedicated server cheaper than cloud hosting?
It depends on how much traffic you send. Cloud platforms usually charge for outbound data per gigabyte, so the bill grows with every visitor. An unmetered port is a flat price whatever you transfer, which is why heavy senders often move to bare metal. Our post on cloud egress fees versus unmetered servers shows where the lines cross.
Why does the cost of a dedicated server vary so much between providers?
Because the headline price often leaves things out. Check whether the port is shared or guaranteed, whether traffic is metered or billed at the 95th percentile, whether there is a setup fee, and whether DDoS protection costs extra. Compare complete builds, not starting prices.
Price a server for your project
Start on the dedicated servers page, pick a chassis and a port, then add drives, addresses and a DDoS tier only if the project needs them. If you are unsure about the port, compare the 1 Gbps servers with the 10 Gbps servers: on the cheapest Xeon the bigger port costs €450 more and carries ten times the traffic. Our overview of unmetered dedicated servers in Europe covers the countries. If €219 a month is more than the project needs, a KVM VPS starts at €4 a month.
