Where Hetzner is the stronger fit
Price per core on European dedicated hardware
Hetzner's AX line is the reference point for cheap CPU in Europe. If your workload is CPU-bound, fits in one German or Finnish region, and does not need a guaranteed high-bandwidth port, you will almost certainly pay less per core there. That is a real advantage and we would rather you know it before you buy.
Its own datacenter parks and a 1997 operating history
Hetzner builds and runs Falkenstein, Nuremberg and Helsinki itself, with ISO/IEC 27001 certification on the German and Finnish parks. Procurement teams that weigh operating history and facility ownership will find a longer paper trail there than with any host founded in the 2020s, ours included.
A mature cloud API and automation ecosystem
Hetzner Cloud ships a documented REST API, a CLI, and maintained integrations for Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes, plus private networks, stateful firewalls and one-click apps at no extra cost. If your infrastructure is defined in code and you want a large community of existing modules, that ecosystem is an advantage.

DDoS filtering is included on every plan at no extra cost rather than bought as an add-on, and we sell explicit game-hosting and streaming lines tuned for tick-rate-sensitive and high-bitrate media workloads. Hetzner is a generalist by design and does not ship equivalent SKUs.

This page is published by X-ZoneServers (X ZONE IT SRL, Bucharest, Romania). We sell one of the two services compared, so this is a vendor comparison rather than an independent review. Our method is to quote each provider's own published figures, name the date we read them, and state plainly where the other provider is the better choice.
How the numbers are gathered
Competitor data is read directly from that provider's public website — pricing pages, specification sheets, network and location pages — on the dates listed under Sources, plus public network registries such as PeeringDB and bgp.he.net for ASN details. We do not benchmark competitor hardware ourselves and we do not republish figures from review sites or affiliate directories.
How to read the prices
List prices only. Promotional offers, first-term discounts, renewal rates, setup fees, add-ons, region surcharges and currency all differ per provider and can change without notice. X-ZoneServers prices are in EUR excluding VAT. Where another provider publishes in a different currency or inclusive of VAT, that is marked in the table — those figures are not directly comparable to ours without adjustment.
