More hardware per euro, on better memory
VPS 500 gives 2 vCores, 4 GB of DDR5 ECC and 128 GB of NVMe for €5.91 including German VAT. Our Micro at €6.00 excluding VAT gives the same core and memory count with 80 GB of SSD. ECC memory on a €6 VPS is unusual and it is a real engineering choice on their part, not a marketing line.
Its own network, its own history, and a large customer base
netcup has operated from Karlsruhe since 2008, runs AS197540 registered in 2011, and states more than 200,000 customers. If you want a German host with its own routing and a long consumer track record you can look up, they answer that directly.
Storage expansion and snapshots on the same plan
Local Block Storage expands to 8 TB and copy-on-write snapshots are part of the product. We keep the VPS product deliberately simple, so if you want to grow disk without changing plan, or roll back a bad deploy from a snapshot, they ship that and we do not.
